Merchandise to Sell on eBay
Finding sellable merchandise at storage unit auctions
Have you been to a storage unit auction yet?
You probably go past those large rows of buildings regularly where people pay to store their extra stuff in temporary storage units when they don't have the room at home. Did you know, though, that those storage units can be a goldmine of merchandise to sell on ebay?
Believe it or not many of those people who store their stuff in storage units don't always pay the bill. Some of them simply abandon their stuff the for the people who run the storage units to dispose of.
By law, those items in storage must be auctioned when this occurs. These storage unit auctions are much more common than you might think. Nearly 10,000 auctions occur every year. There are bound to be some near you.
THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO GET MERCHANDISE TO SELL ON EBAY!
Granted, you don't want to walk into your next local storage unit auction and bid blindly on whatever is being auctioned off. These auctions are not conducted like regular auctions with each item auctioned individually.
How storage unit auctions work
Storage unit auctions typically auction a whole unit's contents in bulk. You get no chance for your to examine anything more than the outside of the boxes that have been stuffed into the unit.
There are certain tricks you should know, though, that help you get a pretty good idea of whether what's being auctioned off is worth your bid.
Resources for profiting from storage unit auctions
There's more to profiting from storage unit auctions than I can relate in a single article. But you can get a good feel for buying merchandise at them from a couple of excellent resources on this topic, though.
"The Silent Sales Machine Hiding on eBay" is jammed with lots of ideas for picking up sellable eBay merchandise inexpensively. It contains details about self-storage unit auctions as well as many other ingenious ideas for finding merchandise to sell on eBay.
Another great resource from the same person is "My Silent Team," a resource site that lets members download not only "Silent Sale Machine," but also dozens more great resources to give you ideas about inexpensive ways to find merchandise to sell on eBay. And you'll find a very active forum where you can ask questions and get more ideas from successful eBay sellers.
Want something specifically on self-storage unit auctions? Probably the most detailed information about them is "Storage Auction Secrets," which is dedicated specifically to all the ins and outs of making money through finding the most profitable storage auctions.
