Keyword research and analysis tools
Looking for the best keywords to build your business around? Just how to do find them?
I've worked with a number of keyword research tools and I've found some definite winners that help find keywords that are both high demand and low competition.
What tools work best for finding them? Here are the ones I use.
NicheBOT
NicheBOT is a fast-rising keyword research tool finds demand and competition for keywords. It gets its data from EVERYWHERE. It has tools that gathers keyword data from Google, from Yahoo! -- it even has tools that gathers keyword data from Wordtracker and Keyword Discovery keyword databases.
This means you get the most complete keyword research available anywhere from NicheBOT.
NicheBOT really is an incredible tool when it comes to the amount of insight you can mine on a niche. It gives you not only counts, but trends to help you see how stable your niche is throughout the year.
It takes a little effort to master all the valuable niche research tools that you have at your fingertips with NicheBOT, but the results you get are definitely worth the effort!
Wordtracker
Great tool for researching the keywords that your buyers are using to search for what you can offer them.
Wordtracker lets you do a quick check of keywords or dig into a niche in more depth. For the most part, you get Wordtracker's best features incorporated into NicheBOT. Basically, NicheBOT pays Wordtracker for the right to use Wordtracker's tools for you and pass the data on to you.
So, if you use NicheBOT, you have access to most of Wordtracker's tools at no extra cost.
Of course, the fact that Wordtracker has far fewer tools to work with makes it easier to learn and get started with your keyword research. I still like Wordtracker's ease of use and simplicity for quickly getting a feel for keywords in an unfamiliar niche.
And they offer a free trial so you can see for yourself how well it will work for you before you pay anything. (See full review)
SearchIt! — Research and analysis tools
SearchIt! is the swiss army knife of research tools. This FREE multi-purpose research tool does a lot more than just find keywords.
It does not give you the depth and scope of keyword research that paid tools like NicheBOT and Wordtracker do. It's a free tool after all. But I've never seen a free keyword tool that gives you more useful information than SearchIt! does. And SearchIt! does much more than just help you with keyword research, too. It helps you research just about anything you need to know. See the full review for more details on what all it does for you.
As for keyword research, it helps you search for high demand, low competition keywords through a variety of search tools gathered in its collection of dozens of valuable research resources. It also helps you brainstorm for your business, find domain names, steer clear of trademark problems and much, much more.
You pretty much have to see it in action to understand what all it does for you. (See full review for more information)
