Make Money from What You Know
Use knowledge you never knew you had to create an info product that people will be eager to buy
(Don't worry; we'll show you how to do it for free)
Would you like a product to which you had:
- Exclusive right to sell at whatever price you chose?
- Complete control over how it was sold?
- Rights to 100% of the profits?
- No competition?
- The right to let others sell it, in return for you receiving most of the profits from their sale?
You'd jump at a sweet deal like that! "But how can I do that?" you ask. "I'm not an inventor. And I don't have money to hire someone to manufacture something for me."
Ah, but this is the Internet age. Tons of money is being made on products that are nothing more than bits of electrons streaming through the Web—bits of electrons... and your imagination.
Create your own info product
Think of the things you enjoy most: what you enjoy doing in your free time, what you like to read about, your hobbies, the things people tell you that you do really well.
Discover you have resources you didn't even realize
Believe it or not, there are people who will pay money to know the things you know. Crazy? Consider this:
A mother spent 20 years raising a son with special needs. She wanted to earn some extra money, but she had no job history, no special training to draw from. She thought of starting her own business, but, again, she felt she had nothing to offer. She hadn't done anything but raise her special needs son for 20 years! What skills did she have that anyone would possibly find worth paying her for?
Let's back up a minute. She hadn't done anything but raise her special needs son for 20 years. Are there any other parents raising special needs children out there? Are there parents who are just getting started raising a special needs child and have no idea of where to start? Sure there are! And this woman had 20 years of experience in doing what they were so desperately trying to learn—20 years of experience that they would gladly pay to tap into. And many people did pay her for the tips she was able to put together into ebooks, newsletters, and personal coaching.
Stories like this are not unusual. A truck driver wanted to retire from the road and settle back in to his home. He needed income, though, and thought of starting his own business. But he didn't know anything other than driving... Hmm, other than driving.
He turned his extensive knowledge of driving into ebooks on driving safety, best places to stay along his usual routes, best places to eat. It turns out that he, as well as the mother with her special needs son, knew a lot more that people were more than willing to pay they for than they ever imagined.
Turn your knowledge into a product
Often the things you know the best are the things you consider the most unimportant. But there are people out there who would gladly pay to tap into what you know.
Taking what you know and turning it into an ebook sounds intimidating, unless you turn to someone who has done it—successfully—repeatedly—just like you've done whatever you excel in.
And I'm glad to have gotten permission from Michael Campbell, who has created a number of successful ebooks, to offer you—for FREE—his latest ebook on how to create your own ebook.
