I get a kick out of the title. "The Lazy Man's Guide..." is a great attention-getter. That title strikes me as a little misleading, though. It's not for people who don't want to work. If you're looking for a magic wand that'll put your business on autopilot, you've got no business reading Lazy Man's Guide to Online Business.

It's for people who are genuinely willing to work at their business, but find less return on their efforts than they hoped. Now, some ebooks would approach that problem with silly little time-management tricks to squeeze a couple more seconds out of opening your mail or other nonsense like that. But we all instinctively sense that little tricks like that are not the answer.

That's where "Lazy Man's Guide" sets itself apart. It helps you:

• Throw off the little frustrations that block your progress
• Identify and decrease the time you spend on tasks suck away your time and energy even though they seem important
• Recognize the activities that put money in your pocket
• Change the way you work so you put your energy into those money-generating activities

What I like about Lazy Man's Guide to Online Business

I like the way "Lazy Man's Guide" hammers home the fact that how efficiently you work is more important to your success than how many hours or how much money you pour into your business. And it does it with a lot of delightful real-life examples. Jim and Dallas are not only insightful, they're entertaining, too.

They lay out 15 steps for success. I'll tell you the exact reaction you'll have to these steps, because it's the reaction I had. These steps look simplistic. They look ridiculously easy.

But as I thought about them, I had to admit that those ridiculously easy steps are the exact opposite of the way that most business owners—including me—instinctively run their businesses.

Really, if you're not already making millions online, I can almost guarantee you that these 15 steps will be a real wakeup call about where you focus your efforts and how much money you're leaving on the table because of it.

These 15 steps aren't theory about how things SHOULD work. These steps have proven themselves again and again in the lives of ALL successful business owners.

As I read these articles, I fell into thinking, "I've got to try this one. And I'd better try that one, too." Before long, I had a long list of new ideas I wanted to try. If you're not careful, all those specific ideas can start you back into the shotgun approach to work that the rest of the book helps you avoid!

Making the best use of this ebook

To get the most out of "Lazy Man's Guide," don't get bogged down in the great tips that all those successful business owners reveal. I've found it most helpful to focus on the basic 15 steps in the main part of the book. Use them to pull yourself out of the time-traps that suck away your profits. Then come back to the articles and work through whatever ones seem promising. But work through them one at a time.
