Review of Zeus Internet Marketing Robot
Is it what you need for building and managing your reciprocal link directory?
At the heart of Zeus Internet Marketing Robot is your own Internet spider, much like what they search engines have. You can train it to find web sites that match the themes of your website, and it will find thousands of them. Zeus then helps you review and organize them into categories so you can choose which ones to put in your link directory.
What it does for you
 Select the sites you want to include in your directory, click a single button, and your link directory is built and uploaded to your website.
Zeus also provides an e-mail contact function that lets you e-mail an individually-personalized reciprocal link request to each website's webmaster. Everything is easy to edit, organize and maintain.
Zeus automates almost every aspect of creating your link directory. But its biggest strength is in its ability to find link partners of similar themes. Nothing comes close to it in that.
Not a magic wand
Don't expect it to be a magic wand that you wave and have have everything done with absolutely no effort, though. Zeus is designed for webmasters who are willing to spend time building a large link directory, but want to build it about ten times faster than they could on their own.
Expect Zeus to take approximently 4 to 20 hours, of your time, to initially train and become comfortable using it. The feature-packed user interface is easy to learn, there's just a lot of it. Zeus combines an HTML browser, a relational database, an e-mail program, FTP program, contact manager and an Internet robot all into one program.
Easy to learn
Fortunately, there's no problem learning how to use it. Extensive built-in help and online support guide you step-by-step to successfully train and manage Zeus. Even newcomers to the Internet can quickly get comfortable with Zeus. No prior knowledge of the underlying technologies are needed.
Once you've trained Zeus and sent it on its way, you'll need 30–60 minutes per day to review the websites he finds, assign Theme categories to the ones you want to include, personalize email messages and manage your reciprocal link requests.
As good as Zeus is at finding potential link partners, it's not perfect. You'll still need to review the potential link partners Zeus finds to decide which ones you want to include and which are not worth asking for a reciprocal link.
But even if it's not perfect, you can have Zeus finding quality potential link partners for you 24 hours a day if you want. Let it run overnight, over weekends, 24 hours a day if you want and review the potential link partners at your convenience. How fast you build your link directory depends totally on how much time you want to put into it.
Personal note—I've found that if you run Zeus for extended periods of time, your computer tends to accumulate a lot of temp files. Make sure you clear out your temp files every couple of days or your computer may start to experience slightly slower processing times.
Dramatic results—if you work at it
Personally, I've seen sites that have built massive link directories over a few short months and gained top rankings for highly competitive terms. Expect that dramatic of results, however, only if you are committed to working hard at building your reciprocal links.
Two versions available
Zeus is available in either a free or paid version. Even in its free version, it's one of the most powerful tools for finding reciprocal links you can find. The paid version just frees you from the restrictions placed on the free version and offers you far more flexibility in the look and feel of your link directory and far more power.
The free version lets you use only the default template for you link directory. I won't say that the default template was intentionally made ugly to encourage you to buy the paid version, but I've wondered sometimes. And I've known webmasters who won't even link with a site when they see the link directory that very recognizable Zeus default template.
The paid version, on the other hand, gives you much more flexibility in the look of your link directory.
If you're committed to building your traffic and search engine rankings through an agressive link-building campaign, there's no better tool than Zeus.
